WCVE PBS is one of the Community Idea Stations that include WCVW PBS and WHTJ PBS, and is a primary provider of local productions, with weekly programs ranging from the award-winning newsmagazine “Virginia Currents” to the public affairs series “Perspective,” and limited series such as “VirginiaHome Grown” and “Music Seen.” Several of the station’s local documentaries and specials have been accepted for national distribution by PBS or American Public Television, including “Our Inspiration: The Story Of Maggie LenaWalker,” “Laughing Matters With Brett Leake,” “Liberty or Death,” “Wilder: An American First” and others.
